At Tenuta Mareli, the philosophy stems from the union of nature and family passion. Every choice, from the vineyard to hospitality, is guided by respect for the land, sustainability and the desire to offer authentic experiences.

The story of Tenuta Mareli stems from a deep connection with the land and the desire to preserve its authenticity. What initially began as a dream, made of small daily gestures and work in the fields, has over time become a life project. Francesca and Daniele have chosen to dedicate themselves entirely to the vineyards, olive groves and apiaries, transforming passion and family tradition into an agricultural enterprise capable of looking to the future. Today, every harvest, every gathering and every tasting tell of not only the quality of the organic products, but also the love for nature and the most authentic Tuscany.

How it all began

The origins of our estate

19th-century farmhouse

Origins

Tenuta Mareli is housed in a 19th-century farmhouse that had decayed over time into a simple coach and tool shed.

1998

The project

Francesca Tomei and Daniele Lencioni acquire the property in the hills of Montemagno. From that moment on, a restoration journey begins that restores dignity to the farmhouse and new life to the land.

2003

Vineyards and olive groves are reborn

The restoration of the olive groves and vineyards is getting underway, alongside the planting of new crops and the construction of the winery. This is the foundation of a farm that immediately chooses to respect natural rhythms.

2011

The first steps

Tenuta Mareli is starting to make a name for itself with its products: wines and honeys that already bear the hallmark of an authentic and natural approach. It is the beginning of a journey of openness and growth within the local area.

2017

The choice

After years of work and conversion, the vineyards obtain organic certification. Not a point of arrival, but the recognition of a vision: to cultivate with respect, out of deep conviction and not to follow a fashion.

Today

A concrete reality

Tenuta Mareli is today an example of how vision and consistency can be transformed into a solid reality. Organic wine, oil and honey, hospitality at the Relais and tastings tell a story of a journey that continues to grow, rewarding authentic and sustainable choices.

For us, being producers means taking on the daily responsibility of a unique territory: the hills of Montemagno, suspended between Versilia and Lucca, between the sea and the Apuan Alps. Every action in the vineyards and olive groves becomes part of a broader language, made up of ethical choices and care for the landscape. This is the difference we want to convey: a way of working that has its roots in a precise place and looks towards the future with clarity.
